Bittorrent
innove et lance BTapp.js + Torque, un portage de bittorrent en
javascript avec plugin. Concrètement, cela signifie qu'on peut
maintenant se passer de client logiciel bittorrent pour télécharger nos
distribs Linux et autres films de vacances.

Une fois en place, la couche
Torque est pilotable par n'importe quel site utilisant BTApp.js. Génial
pour démocratiser encore un peu plus le truc pour Madame Michue et ses
amies.
Pour le moment, seuls 2 projets sont dispo sur les labs Torque pour montrer comment ça fonctionne :

  • OneClick : Une extension pour Chrome qui permet de télécharger directement le contenu lié à un .torrent dans votre navigateur.
  • PaddleOver : Une interface web qui permet de glisser / déposer des fichiers pour vos amis avec bien évidemment un transfert en Bittorrent.
